Testimonials
“My first involvement with Open Bio Labs was through the GMO talk you did a couple months ago. I found it fascinating and afterwards thought a lot about the discussion and biology in general, which is why I was so excited when I saw the description of your Synthetic Biology summer camp. I am really hoping to be able to use the development of the [polystyrene-consuming E. coli device conceived during the summer camp] as the subject for my senior independent study.”
“With the advancements in technology, what scientists are able to do in a very basic lab setup in absolutely amazing, and I want to bring some of those experiences to my classroom. Being exposed to some of these applications will also prepare students for what they will be working with at the next level. My hope is that Shaun and Open Bio Labs would provide the background knowledge for the teachers, who would then turn around and help facilitate students through this process.”
“You did an incredible job in the last two weeks, and I am amazed (and awed) by how much you managed to teach the three. Your excitement is infectious, and your commitment truly impressive. Thank you for everything!”
